Funding help and local support

If you are on a low income you may be eligible for financial assistance with funeral costs. In Great Britain this commonly includes Funeral Payments administered by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) for people receiving certain qualifying benefits. We can explain the claims process and supply the documentation you will need.

Some local authorities and charitable organisations also offer discretionary help. Manchester City Council and local welfare charities can provide guidance on additional support. For impartial advice we recommend contacting Citizens Advice or the DWP helpline.

If you would like assistance completing an application for Funeral Payments, we can advise and support you through the necessary steps.
